HBD member Iva Tolić is the winner of the highly prestigious EBSA award for young scientists.

European Biophysical Societies' Association (EBSA) awarded dr. Iva Tolic special recognition for outstanding scientific activity at the 10th European Biophysical Congress held from July 18 to 22, 2015 in the German city of Dresden.
The EBSA Young Investigators' Medal and Prize is awarded every two years by the Executive Board of the association for scientific excellence, leadership and creativity. Dr. Iva Tolić was nominated for this prestigious award by the Croatian Biophysical Society.
The EBSA award is additional confirmation of the excellence of this successful scientist who recently returned to the Ruđer Bošković Institute, where, as a reminder, thanks to a European Research Council (ERC) project worth over 2 million euros, she will establish her own laboratory so that she and her team can gain new key insights into cell division research.
The European Biophysical Societies Association (EBSA) was founded in 1984 as a non-profit organization whose goal is to “advance and disseminate knowledge about the principles, contemporary discoveries and applications of biophysics, and to encourage the exchange of scientific information among biophysicists at the European and international level.
