September 14, 2026.
Dear colleagues,
ARBRE (Association of Resources for Biophysical Research in Europe; www.arbre-biophysics.eu) is the newest and first transnational member society of EBSA.
It is a society focused on technology and methods, with the aim of bringing together a dynamic pan-European community of scientists who are active in or interested in the field of molecular biophysics.
In this way, ARBRE's positioning is extremely complementary to the national biophysical societies that form the core of EBSA.
We are pleased to invite you to join us in Vienna on November 12th and 13th, 2026, for the 2nd ARBRE Scientific Symposium.
The event website is now live (2nd ARBRE Scientific Symposium, https://events.vbc.ac.at/vbcf_events/2nd-arbre-scientific-symposium.html), where you can review the conference program and find all the useful practical information.
There you can register and, if desired, submit an abstract for an oral presentation or poster presentation.
This is an excellent opportunity, especially for students, early career researchers and technology-focused scientists (technicians, engineers, core facility and CRO staff, members of industrial R&D teams), so don't hesitate!
The deadline for abstract submission is September 25th.
The first half of the conference (November 12th afternoon) will include two sessions of oral presentations (each with one invited speaker and several selected presentations) and a poster session.
The second half (November 13th morning) will be dedicated to ARBRE working group meetings (see www.arbre-biophysics.eu/activities) and the association's annual Assembly.
It is worth noting that the registration fee for non-member participants also includes ARBRE membership for 2027... which allows you to become an ARBRE member at the same time as registering for the conference.
We look forward to meeting in Vienna at a successful conference that will result in an ambitious action plan for the ARBRE association for the period 2027–2028.
Kind regards,
Audrey Crousilles, head of the local organizing committee of the ARBRE2026 conference
Patrick England, Chair of ARBRE's Membership and Communications Working Group
