Procedure and criteria awarding financial support for participation in biophysics meetings (school/workshop/conference)
PROCEDURE:
Members submit their application in the first quarter of the calendar year.
The Board reviews applications and makes decisions.
The results of the competition are published on the Company's website.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
CV
An application with clearly stated arguments why the scholarship is necessary, the domain of the presented work and the domain of the conference/school/workshop must overlap
Abstract of the work to be presented at the conference
Confirmation that the candidate has requested a scholarship from the umbrella organizations/conference organizers
List and approximate amount of scholarships that the candidate has received and from which entity, in the previous three-year period
Letter of recommendation from a renowned scientist in the relevant field of biophysics
CRITERIA FOR AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS:
Regular payment of HBD membership fees
Doctoral students have priority
The quality and relevance of the work to be presented
Candidates who have won the fewest HBD scholarships over the past three years have priority.
