Colloquium of the Croatian Biophysical Society and ZIMO

We invite you to the joint colloquium of the Croatian Biophysical Society and ZIMO, which will be held on June 5, 2025 at 9:30 am in the hall of the 3rd wing of the RBI.

The lecture will be given by:
Leon Van Heddeghem, Lara Vereecke and Ruby Van de Velde, students from HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Ghent, Belgium, who spent the past four months at the Institute for Marine and Environmental Research as part of Erasmus+ student mobility.

Leon Van Heddeghem and Ruby Van de Velde gained research experience in the Laboratory for Marine and Atmospheric Biogeochemistry under the mentorship of Dr. Nadica Ivošević DeNardis and Dr. Ana Cvitešić, while Lara Vereecke stayed in the Laboratory for Biological Effects of Metals under the mentorship of Dr. Vlatka Filipović Marijić. In addition to their impressions from the laboratory, they will also reflect on their adventures in Croatia and beyond.
