XBW 2011, the 6th Christmas Workshop of Biophysics was held in Varaždin, Hotel Turist, on 12 and 13 December. This annual gathering brings together scientists working in the field of biophysics and soft matter physics from Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. The workshops were initiated by Rudolf Podgornik (Ljubljana) and Silvia Tomić (Zagreb) in 2006.
