"125 years of communication and popularization of science in Croatia".
This year, the Croatian Natural History Society celebrates the 125th anniversary of its existence and activities. On the occasion of this anniversary, a scientific and professional conference "125 years of communication and popularization of science in Croatia" was organized.
The Croatian Natural History Society was founded in 1885 at the instigation of Spiridion Brusina, and the following year it began publishing the Bulletin of the Croatian Natural History Society (which is still published, but under the title Periodicum biologorum). In 1911, the Society also began publishing Priroda, a journal that we will have the opportunity to celebrate its centenary next year, thus marking the centennial of the oldest journal for the popularization of science in Croatia, but also one of the oldest in general.
